Week 4 - He Calms the Storms

Sunday Passage:
Mark 4:35-41

Theme:
He settles our souls (Fear)

Weekly Reading: Mark 7–8

Relatable Story:
Fear has a way of making everything feel urgent. It speeds us up, tightens our chest, and convinces us we have to take control or we’ll fall apart. The disciples felt that in the storm—and even with Jesus in the boat, they panicked. But the question isn’t “Will I ever face storms?” The real question is, “Who is in the boat with me?” Peace isn’t the absence of waves. Peace is the presence of Jesus. This week, we’re learning what trust looks like when fear still tries to talk.

Study Focus

• Fear revealing misplaced trust

• Authority over nature

• The question: “Who then is this?”
