Week 5 - He Binds the Broken

Sunday Passage:
Mark 5:1-20

Theme:
Jesus sets us free (Mental Anguish)

Weekly Reading: Mark 9–10

Relatable Story:
Some battles don’t show up on the outside, but they are loud on the inside. Anxiety, torment, addiction, intrusive thoughts, depression—things that make you feel trapped in your own mind. In Mark 5, Jesus meets a man everyone else gave up on, and He restores his dignity before he ever restores his life. Jesus doesn’t just want you functioning—He wants you free. And freedom can feel disruptive at first, because it changes everything. This week, we’re not treating healing like a theory. We’re letting Jesus rewrite identity, which is the starting place for freedom.

Study Focus

• Spiritual oppression and dignity

• Liberation that leads to mission

• Fear of transformation
