  • At Vertical, Rooted is intentionally designed as an in-person experience. We believe spiritual growth happens best when people gather together—building real relationships, having honest conversations, and walking alongside one another in biblical community. Because of that, we don’t offer an online option.

    If you’re unable to participate in person, we encourage you to connect with a local church in your area. Discipleship is meant to be lived out in community, and our prayer is that you find a church home where you can grow in your faith, build meaningful relationships, and continue taking next steps with Jesus.

  • There are a few ways to get connected to a Rooted group at Vertical:

    1. Join an existing group
    Many of our serve teams, student environments, Vertical Men, The Table (Women), and other ministries will be launching Rooted groups. You may already be part of one.

    2. Create a group
    Have a group of friends at Vertical and ready to jump in together? We can help train you to lead or connect you with a leader.

    3. Let us connect you
    Fill out the interest form, and we’ll help place you in a group that fits your schedule and season of life.

  • Rooted is a 10-week experience, with groups meeting for about two hours each week. For the best experience—for you and your group—we ask that you plan to miss no more than two weeks.

    If you already know your schedule won’t allow that, we recommend joining a future Rooted session so you can fully engage.

  • After Rooted, many groups choose to continue meeting—growing in discipleship and community together. That next step is completely optional and decided by each group.

  • Rooted is built on seven key rhythms found in Scripture, modeled by the early church in Acts 2. These rhythms form the foundation of the experience:

    • Daily Devotion (Acts 2:42, 46)

    • Prayer (Acts 2:42)

    • Repentance (Acts 2:37–39)

    • Sacrificial Generosity (Acts 2:44–45)

    • Serving the Community (Acts 2:44–45)

    • Sharing Your Story (Acts 2:24–36)

    • Worship (Acts 2:26–28, 46–47)

    These aren’t just concepts—they’re practices that help shape a life rooted in Jesus.
